My Days are Chaos

On a normal day, I leave for work at 8:10a.m. Today I woke up at 8:00. Fortunately, I'm a quick dresser... a fast decision maker about my attire for the day. I wasn't the only one either... the Korean teacher in my row, Jang Mi Suk, also woke up at 8:00 today. I beat her to school... she walks.

I arrived at school at 8:30. On Wednesdays, I normal teach 1-5th period, however, today I taught 2-6th periods. I think most other teachers only had 3 classes... I feel overworked and underpaid.

After classes, I had about a billion students coming to my desk for interviews. I'm teaching a winter camp in January and I need to level the students that are going to attend... hence my interviews... it's amazing how long it takes these students to answer 5 questions!

Then, I taught some English to Jang Mi Suk... she's very interested in learning the language. I'm excited to be teaching her. It's when I teach people like her that I know teaching is truly my calling... I get so much pleasure from seeing people "get it!" I love it when I have students that are excited about learning!

Then, I went to the bank with Kong Changok. I HATE going to the bank! I didn't even realize how much I hated it until I went today... I kept sighing and groaning. I wanted to get OUT of there as fast as I could! I always feel so dumb and helpless. And, there's always some kind of complication when we first get started... today it was about not sending more than 10,000.00$ home for one year. Ok, ok, I GET it! Now let's move on!

Finally, I came home. If there is one thing that I've learned about Korean women since I've been here... they are so slender! Even after they have kids, they have nice trim bodies and they look so fit and healthy. So many of my co-workers and co-teachers have children and are so slender! I wish I had a Korean woman's body frame!!!!

Ok, that's all for now! Love you ALL!
